Starting April 1, 2019, a new type of inspection is required for all rideshare drivers in Massachusetts. TNC vehicles are required to obtain a TNC inspection at the vehicle’s next annual inspection, or within 12 months of the first date of activation on the Uber platform, whichever comes first.
Did you know that we can perform your Uber vehicle inspection right here at V&F? When you come into the shop for your annual inspection, simply let our team know that you need the TNC vehicle inspection as well. The TNC vehicle inspection is given immediately after the state vehicle inspection (for Massachusetts residents only) and includes an interior safety check. The inspection contains components such as:
Once you pass the inspection, take a photo of the TNC vehicle inspection report and upload to your Uber account. Remember to include the VIN number and expiration date of the TNC vehicle inspection. When you submit your paperwork to Uber, double-check that you’re only uploading only your TNC vehicle inspection report and not your state vehicle inspection report.
So, why choose V&F? Like Uber, here at V&F we want to ensure our customers are driving safe vehicles. Having reliable transportation and a vehicle you can trust is very important– that’s why we perform a courtesy inspection on all vehicles that visit our shop so we are familiar with the required inspection you need.
