40 Under Forty

Ice Bucket Challenge
To help raise awareness and join in the for ALS Strike Out, the V&F Auto Service and Auto Parts teams participated in the Ice Bucket Challenge, as well as made a donation to the ALS Foundation. Our owner, Frank Palange, made sure to have his bucket loader on the premise to make it especially worth seeing!
Hoof for a Roof
V&F teamed up with the Bilingual Veterans Outreach Centers of Mass Inc. for their first Hoof for a Roof 5K event. The Hoof for a Roof event helped raise funds to assist in rehabilitating a home in Springfield that will soon house 10 of our homeless veterans. During the promotion of Cars for Freedom, people had the opportunity to nominate a veteran for the chance to win a car.
Youth Sports
At V&F Auto, we believe that investing in our youth is an investment in the future. One of the ways we like to get involved with the youth in our community is through sponsorships of youth sports. We actively sponsor a local Parks & Recreation team as well as many sports teams from West Springfield and Agawam.
Keep Education Rolling
V&F Auto established a program known as Keep Education Rolling. This program has been in place for the past 10 years. We are always looking for ways to give back to the community and this directly helps the town we are located in. We have donated over $3,000 to help purchase items such as computers for Agawam Public Schools and instruments for the High School band.
Paint the Town Purple
V&F received the first place prize for Relay for Life’s Paint the Town Purple. Relay for Life is an American Cancer Society event that takes place all over the country. Relay raises money to help fight the battle of cancer that so many people are affected by. Paint the Town Purple allowed us to show our support for the fight against cancer.
Toys for Tots
The V&F team coincides with the Toys for Tots goal – they help the Marines collect toys in order for them to deliver a shiny new toy at Christmas to needy youngsters. V&F does their part as well by purchasing numerous bicycles and toys to add to the collection of gifts to be distributed to the needy.
Proudly Supporting Our Veterans
At V&F Auto, we deeply value the service and sacrifices of our veterans. As a small token of appreciation, we’re offering free oil changes to veterans on November 11, 2024. This is part of our commitment to giving back to those who have served. We believe in supporting our community and are grateful for the chance to make a difference.
Parish Cupboard
This November, V&F Auto is hosting a canned food drive to support our local Parish Cupboard and help those in need. We’re calling on our community to join us by bringing in non-perishable pantry items, and we’ll match every donation! Together, we can make a meaningful impact and ensure that no one in our neighborhood goes hungry this holiday season. Let’s come together to fill those shelves and support our community.
